Save to OneDrive
With the Microsoft integration, you can save your workflow outputs directly to your OneDrive. Once authorised, Portant can store Microsoft file type outputs (for example Word and PowerPoint) in your personal OneDrive account.

How Save to OneDrive works
When you use Microsoft Word or PowerPoint templates and have the Microsoft integration connected, you can choose to have generated documents saved to a folder in your OneDrive. Outputs are saved under the connected folder you select in your workflow’s Outputs tab.
Note: Save to OneDrive may currently be limited to files up to 4MB. Check the Outputs tab and your workflow settings for the option to save to OneDrive.
Connecting your OneDrive
- Open your workflow and go to the Outputs tab.
- Look for the option to Save to OneDrive or connect Microsoft/OneDrive (depending on your plan and integration).
- Authorise Portant to access your OneDrive when prompted.
- Choose the folder in OneDrive where you want outputs to be stored.
After setup, runs of the workflow will save Microsoft file type outputs to that OneDrive folder. You can open and edit files in OneDrive as usual (for example, Edit in OneDrive for Word documents).
For organising outputs into subfolders and custom folder structures, see Auto-filing Output Files.
